American Man Claims GTA Inspired His Crimes
Eh… Not this crap again…
Zachary Burgees of Hoover, Alabama saw a man leave his truck parked with the motor running outside a bar in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Burgees got in the truck and drove away. Not realising there was a passenger still inside, Burgess forcibly restrained the passenger and proceeded to hit nine parked cars while trying to leave the parking lot only to escape on foot.
Burgees was restrained a short while later and when questioned by police, Burgees allegedly claimed that he did it because he wanted to see what it was really like to play Grand Theft Auto. According to Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., Burgees has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, nine counts of hit and run and kidnapping.
Am I the only one who is sick to death of having video games constantly dragged through the mud because they are being used as scapegoats for people doing stupid things?
“Sir, why did you throw a turtle at this man?”
“Mario made me do it!”
