Saints Row IV Passes Australian Classification

by

Fans of the outrageous series (and gaming fans in general) can rejoice as the Australian Classification Board passes down it’s approval for a modified version of Saints Row IV, making it classified as MA15+ rather than the proposed R18.

In order to pass the classification a 20 minute mission was removed from the game that contained the use of alien narcotics which breached the guidelines of the classification. However,  the anal probe weapon (which caused most of the original concern)  is still set to be available through a planned DLC.

Deep Silver commented that the modification made was only slight and it will not affect how the game is played.

“The removal of this mission has no negative impact on the story or the superpowers and will not detract from the enjoyment players will get from their Saints Row IV experience. The rectifier weapon will be available as part of a DLC package as originally intended. Deep Silver stands by this decision and thanks the Australian Classification Board for their assistance with this matter,” said a statement from Deep Silver.
